THE FOUNDER JOURNEY
The Beginning
Started building a VR dressing room prototype in my apartment. The idea: let people try on clothes virtually before buying online.
Launch & Awards
Launched the full platform with VR try-ons, social commerce features, and a curated fashion marketplace. Won industry awards.
The End
Over-engineered the product, burned through runway chasing perfection instead of product-market fit. The startup didn't survive.
WHAT I LEARNED
Pippip taught me the most important lesson in my career: build lean, validate fast, and don't fall in love with the technology over the problem. I spent too much time perfecting the VR rendering engine when I should have been talking to customers.
Every engineering decision I make today is shaped by this experience. Ship the simplest thing that works, measure it, then iterate. The best code is code that solves a real problem for real people — not the most technically impressive code.
