WHAT I DID
Petro Ninja serves energy professionals who need to access complex geospatial well data in the field. I built the React Native mobile app from the ground up, focusing on performance-critical map rendering and data processing.
The core challenge was rendering thousands of well markers on a map while keeping the app responsive on mid-range devices. I implemented a custom clustering algorithm and aggressive data caching strategy that improved map rendering by 40% and reduced data processing time by 40%.
The app also featured offline-capable well data browsing, custom data overlays for production metrics, and integration with the Petro Ninja web platform's API for seamless cross-device workflows.
